ILO’s Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ILO/ACTRAV) and the Japan Trade Union Congress (JTUC/RENGO) had organised from 22 to 24th November 2017 in Cape Town, South Africa a workshop on the role of Trade Union on productivity improvement in Africa.

ILO’s Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ILO/ACTRAV) and the Japan Trade Union Congress (JTUC/RENGO) had organised from 22 to 24th November 2017 in Cape Town, South Africa a workshop on the role of Trade Union on productivity improvement in Africa.

During 3 days, about 20 trade union leaders from africa and japan deliberated on the concept and examined the potential benefits that could accrue to workers from a programme of productivity improvements.

The workshops made some resounding strong recommendations requiring trade unions to carry out similar activities at the national level.
