ITUC-Africa joins the rest of the world in condemning the shootings and bombings that killed 92 people in Oslo, Norway, on Friday, July 22.
We extend to our brothers and sisters in LO-Norway, the Government and people of Norway, our deepest sympathies at this national tragedy. In particular, we extend our condolences to the families of the victims as well as the political colleagues of all those young progressive political activists whose lives have been cut short by this dastardly act.
ITUC-Africa is heartened by the immense unity that is being displayed by the people of Norway at this time of great adversity. We wish you the courage and fortitude that is necessary to overcome this national grief and hope that the people of Norway will rededicate themselves to the endeavors for peace for which Norway has become so famously known.
