On Monday, January 29, 2018, representatives of the Democratic Union of Workers of Senegal (UDTS) met with the Minister of Labour, Social Dialogue, professional organisations and Relations with Institutions in the premises of the ministry.
The meeting was held in the context of the implementation of the programme on the theory of change concerning the 2 major themes, namely, the employability of young people and the constructive Social Dialogue. Advocacy was geared towards "The institutionnalisation of social dialogue at sectoral level or in professional branches" which consists of bringing political authorities and employers’ organizations to recognize the role and importance of social dialogue for the economic growth of enterprises and to commit to taking a decision for the institutionnalisation of social dialogue at the level of professional branches before the end of 2018.
