The regional organization African of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC-Africa) in collaboration with the /TCO LO and the Confederation of Ethiopian trade unions (CETU) organizes from 12 to 13 November 2012, Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), a regional workshop on strengthening the involvement of young people and Trade Union participation in national AIDS councils and national coordination mechanisms.
The participants of this workshop came from the Regional youth Committee and national focal points of the countries which have not yet adhered to national AIDS councils and national coordination mechanisms.
This meeting gave the opportunity to the participants to discuss and exchange ideas on the different means available to trade unions to mobilize and enhance youth on issues of HIV / AIDS in workplaces.
Resolutions will be taken at the end of the meeting to allow the coordinators to turn discussions into actions and follow upthe actions to be carried out.
